1997 Billboards
Sunday,
February 01, 1998
The
billboards displayed below were posted on a rotating basis November 1997
through January 1998. They numbered four 14' x 48' painted Sacred Heart
billboards, all at choice in-town expressway locations, ninety two 12'
x 25' and forty 6' x 12' Annunciation posters. This was the first experiment
with the larger, more expensive painted billboards and judging from the
response, the big ones are the way to go!!! We have many more reasons to
believe that more lives were saved and mothers spared and one can only
guess at the blessings that Our Lord may have added to the whole community
for raising images of the Sacred Heart and His Most Gracious Mother above
the city, in defense of those who cannot defend themselves.
Below
the billboards are the 1997 statistics from the billboard company. These
statistics are for a 30 day period. The actual posting time averaged in
excess of 60 days, putting the number of viewings over 90,000,000 (1,502,385
x 60) and the market frequency (the number of viewings per person) at 100+!
The only people who did not see these public Catholic Pro-Life messages
were the shut-ins.....And this is as it should be, mindful of Our Lord's
instruction not to hide the Light He has given us under a basket, but to
let it be seen!
The
three year running total for local viewings looks like this:
March/May
1995:
4,500,000
October/November
1995: 37,000,000

1996: 57,000,000
